Xiaomi is all set to launch the Xiaomi 14T series globally this week. The company announced that the Xiaomi 14T would launch on 26th September 2024. But there’s a catch with its release. Xiaomi 14T Series first to launch without a charger?
According to tipster @chunvn8888 on X (formerly Twitter), the Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T Pro won’t include a charger in the box in the Southeast Asian regions. This means that the upcoming budget flagship phones would only come with smartphones and charging wire in the box in regions like Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and others.
To recall, Apple was the first to make this controversial move to remove an essential peripheral accessory with its products. It claimed that it was for environmentally friendly reasons. While Samsung initially took jabs at Apple for this move, it eventually followed in its footsteps as well. Nothing is another brand that doesn’t offer chargers in the box. And now, it appears that Xiaomi is the latest to start this practice. In other words, it might be a major factor that affects people’s decision to buy Xiaomi’s new devices.
